Gas and taxes

I read that the Fed is considering suspending the gas tax $0.16 cents per gallon but not much on the 20 percent diesel tax…. Right now when I fill up my truck $30 goes to the fed. vs. about $5 if I ran gas.

Next subject is that the state acknowledged they received a surplus in property taxes so they are considering issuing checks for the over payments to renters and people who make less than $250k. Kind of a bizarre method to redistribute money..

I don't trust retailers to pass the savings on to the consumer. Who's going to police them. When NJ gas tax was reduced 8 cents in October of last year, I didn't see the prices move one bit. It will be a windfall for retailers, and we will pay for it in the end.

Trying to buy votes as usual.  24 cent tax on diesel is to be dropped too.  Obama called it a gimmick in 2008.  It still is.  Paying for roads and road crews has to come from someplace.  We seen what happened when Christie didn't get his 23 cent rise in the gas tax.  Shut down construction and lay off workers  Biden wants states to drop gas taxes too

Hell even his own party have strong doubts the oil companies won't just keep the price the same and consumers won't see a price difference. 

IMO it's like they're saying "you're going to continue being kicked in the balls, so we'll give you a single ice cube to ease the pain, but that ice cube may be melted away before it gets to you."

Can't blame the guy for trying. He watched another guy lie for 6 years and still has a cult following. Great way for our leaders to run the country- lies and decption.

if Trump had been allowed to actually  try things he wanted to do instead of the daily defending of lies against him , can only wonder how much further both security  and the economy would have been .

Well there was two of them in two administrations. I guess the first one didn't buy much because he lost.
