11/11 Check In

Well back at it in zone 7 this time. Took a quick trip to the range to shoot the muzzleloader and the 308. Ate some lunch and now hanging out. Zone 12 and zone 7 are quiet for rut activity. No rubs or scrapes at either spot. Strange.

Just saw 12 gobblers angling up side of mountain above the bench I am on - followed by a doe who was followed by a fawn. Already exceeded expectations by seeing 2 deer!

Headed out around 4. Catch them coming out last hour. Hopefully a slick gets in the hot zone tonight...

Saw 8-10 turkey, a spike and a good size bear (probably 350-400 lbs) this morning. Slow morning in the woods. Good luck to all that are out for the afternoon.

Once again, facing wrong way, doe came from behind me. Getting dark early. Looks like rain coming soon. Was a good day.

friend was out he saw 12 does no bucks, his friend saw 22 does no bucks

November 11th is typically the peak of the rut!  Usually hunt today but spots are EHD’ed. Scouted a new spot n kicked up 2 bucks without any does!  Bizarre!
