I'm with Farmshine! Why torture yourself during the best months of the year

What do you mean by "best months of the year? "

Like candy and cider donuts?  I don't eat those things anyway

a better challenge would be "no deer hunt November".   Challenge your self, to just not hunt any day in November.

Sober Steak-tober is about bettering yourself, not needlessly torturing yourself.  Come on now Jack!

I drink a lot, SO I'll play along somewhat:

I will not drink for the month;

I generally do not eat meat, but I will increase my intake of chicken, turkey, and fish;

I exercise a lot, but I will increase that, as time allows;

I need to, and will, work on clearing my mind to hopefully become less angry and stressed out.

Glad to hear it.  Feel free to check in here daily.

1- no problem.  Not a coffee drinker either.

2-Didn't catch any fish, so it will be meat, but I need potatoes and veggies, not coffee.

3- I hunt most days

4- I watch the nightly news, but if you think porn would be better, I'm in for that.

Porn is infinitely better than the nightly news.  Getting rid of the baby batter will help you clear your mind anyway, so go for it. :rofl:

This can only be true if

1. You weren't trying very hard in your 20s

or

2. You are certainly getting your money's worth from your TRT program!

j/k:rofl:

Main reason for me is playing hockey for the last 20 years, which I did not play in my 20s. I skate with 20 year olds, 2 to 3 times/ week, and I have no problem keeping up with them, some can not keep up with me.

Staying active is the key to all of it.

sounds like a good idea. good luck to anyone doing it. i could do away with stress but then  i wake up each morning and go to work. i also wish i got more then 4 hours of sleep per night. sleep and stress probably go hand in hand.

They do.  I would recommend that everyone make a conscious effort to improve their quality and duration of sleep.  Adequate rest and recovery is the key to everything.

Thank goodness porns not on the list

Porn, sex and whatever else is definitely not on the list.  Get your rocks off, it's good for you.  Mrs. Rug and I try to get our freak on almost every night.

So...Day 1 check in.  Fasted all day long (since 6pm last night).   I dry rubbed a pork shoulder and smoked it for 10 hours the other day, so we had an early dinner, which was a huge plate of pulled pork. About to head out to kid's soccer game in a few.

Today is a yoga day and then meditation afterwards.  Some freaky business with the Mrs and then hopefully a good night's sleep.

 Not being able to sleep sucks. My son suffers from it and it breaks my heart. My best friend as well.
