Bergen County Fish & Game Violation

Recommended Posts

Lt. Sutton responded to the Village of Ridgewood, Bergen County, to assist the local PD. An off-duty Ridgewood Police Officer observed a large antlered buck along Route 17 and turned around to get a better look at it. When he returned, he observed an individual standing in the woods and the deer flailing around from apparently being shot. He contacted the individual who admitted to shooting the deer with a crossbow. Uniformed officers quickly arrived and started to gather evidence. When Lt. Sutton arrived, he observed pieces of a bloody crossbow bolt, a blood trail and the deer, a large 9-point buck. An interview of the suspect revealed that he had observed the deer, pulled over, retrieved his crossbow, loaded it and fired at the deer, hitting it high in the spine. He then loaded his crossbow with another bolt and fired again. As a result of the investigation, the suspect was issued two summonses for discharging a bow and arrow (crossbow) without due caution and circumspection, two summonses for possessing a nocked arrow within 150 feet of an occupied building, hunting deer during the permit bow season without a valid DMZ 36 permit and taking an antlered deer without a valid antlered buck permit.

This is two months old. There have been quite a few before this one and after that have never been mentioned

Idiot plain and simple.  He should get his hunting privileges revoked for several years so he can think about what he did.

Trust me when I tell you he doesn't care. He has done it before and will do it again
