Martha looks more like a Marty. Besides being a liberal puke lawyer “she” apparently checks off a couple more boxes

You're right. But then again, we had a guy in the presidency who looked like an orange prune but no one called him a fruit, even if he was unqualified ;)

Just stirring the pot lightly on a day when my health prevents me from hitting the back bay and I'm stuck online. Forgive me, for I have sinned

Nobody bothers to read anymore. Her qualifications aside, she is being attacked by liberals (not by conservation orgs) as not being liberal enough. She is okay with allowing limited hunting of grizzly bears and gray wolves where their populations permit it. The “environmental” orgs, not to be confused with conservation orgs, don’t want us ever hunting those species in the lower 48.  She is widely respected in Montana by both Rs and Ds.

And what do you consider “qualified”? Community organizer? Junior senator? Career politician with zero executive experience running anything who can’t put a coherent sentence together? Maybe a peanut farmer ?

I’ll take my chances with an orange prune over those types every day of the week;)

peanut farmer produces and grabs subsidies that produce  more than casino bankrupter, and I've always thought a nuclear engineer who's honest in a Playboy interview comes closest to stable genius status. I'll take the peanuts, you can have the fruit and the world will continue to spin, we hope

Thanks, BBows. I wanted to say the same but didn't want to poison the well against her since I don't carry your conservative credentials and am by profession suspect here. You are correct about no one caring to read--I knew little about her when the controversy came up, but when I read up I was surprised and encouraged by the apparent competence and evenhandedness of a lawyer with what I recall is a BA in philosophy. I guess it shows that learning how to think critically and read carefully can at times make up for an apparent lack of technical education. And we should judge people on their results and bipartisan support

In fact, wasn't the recent attention/controversy stirred by wolf biologists who attacked her for suggesting that a limited hunt would make sense?

But he was elected and she was appointed.  Qualifications aside, there is a big difference.  Hope your on the mend.  Hope you can have a cocktail while mending!

Nah, it's more about fruits and those little men who are scared by them.

But OK, Lunatic. At least you're not saying the.same thing as I am and then claiming that that makes me a liberal. It's a new week. A New Dawn. You like them, right?
