10/1 AM Check-In

Decided to get into the tree at 3 since the weatherman called for clear skies in Chester 

hour 15 minutes in the tree rain hasn’t stopped 

So I got into the blind the bears had fun with but at least no more rain on my head

In German NY for the opener. So far nothings shown. Didn’t sit this morning because it’s definitely an afternoon kind of place.

Bumped a fawn on way in at 3pm but nothing since

2 doe and a fawn walked up passed me from behind then a spoke followed staying well behind them Wind is swirling and they were smelling and looking at me but were spread out for a while around me. One came by at 5yds. They all meandered over the hill. Good to see deer but was expecting a bigger buck back here. Think that's the first spike I've seen on this hill

Not seeing  deer .time for some dog proof traps . If it's not bears it sometimes else.

Four deer so far one doe down checked in sat back in blind u never know they are moving big time right now

Got busted by the two shooters that travel together. First buck was 5 yds before I noticed it. Lol. Still a ton of fun.

Derick and I are out in 10. Up in a huge oak that is acting as an umbrella for us.

Up In 6. Wind a little all over the place. Mostly in my face. Quiet so far. Rain is minimal.

Well not the best night. Had deer moving. Doe at 20 yards. She would stop, stand for a few seconds, run 2-3 steps and repeat. Well when I released the arrow she lunged. Completely my fault. So letting her lay the night and hopefully at first light she is just in the woods off the field.
