I listened to a lot of county rock … if that's what  you call it … when I was a kid.  The Fire in the Mountain tape got a lot of play in the Pioneer 8-track player in my old F-250.

Dang, I'm old.

Dang my jaw dropped.Sad news. Best bluegrass musician ever. At one time I owned almost every album ever turned out. Met him in person once!... Circa 1978with my wife to be studying to be a special ed teacher, Seton Hall college auditorium. We stood 20 feet away as he Rossined up his bow to play devil went down to Georgia, I was in awe how he could keep playing that fiddle with all those horse hairs flying in his face!  Sincere condolences to the family. Thanks for the memories Charlie.Rest peacefully in heaven.
