Woods and Water Ice fishing day?

With hunting almost over and some good ice up north is there anyone wanting to get together at a pond or lake in the next couple weeks. Would be cool and fun. Do a little cooking on the ice, and mybe a little drinking.  I know its going to warm up some this week but hopefully i dont hurt the ice to bad. Temps should drop again.

Who would be interested in doing it and any suggestions on where?

I’d be up for it. I have five tipups and at least one jigging rod and a hand auger. But I am worried about the ice after the week coming up.

Yeah we have to watch the weather and check the ice. Just want to see about how many member would be interested in doing it. Hopefully we keep good ice for a month. How thick was the ice where you went?

I'm always good to chill with the boys.  I do not have kids and I don't have a  from the wife.

Count me out.  Ice fishing is for Minnesota.  You guys are nuts standing on ice in NJ after it's been cold for about a week.  

I went through the ice once, I don't need to experience that ever again

I went through the ice once, I don't need to experience that ever again

I went through once also, was about 10 years old.

Still remember thinking I needed to lay down on the way home, def hypothermia .

when I got home all my clothes were frozen so solid, my mother had to cut them off.

Took years to go back on , and only did that to play hockey.

Havent fished on hard water since

I went through once as a kid too. Playing hockey. Pants were frozen bad and I could not feel my legs. Remember walking home about 3/4 mile in tears cause it hurt. I was 13-14 years old. I don't go on the ice with out checking it all the way out. But I love hanging out ice fishing with friends.

If I'm not working I am in.... I work alternating weekends.

I do have a brand new never used 6 inch manual auger that I will bring.

How much was there? What public lakes up north do you think might be good if we do this?
