storm just ended by me in z5, the ruler shows 10.5", it snowed like mad for the last hour.  I see a young buck making his way about out the window, and a few dozen turkeys.

I gave up hunting in crappy weather years ago,  mo more hunting in blizzards, no hunting in rain and no hunting when wind is over 30mph, since that time I have taken in NJ 2 Bucks over 140" that both went to the NJ show and more nice 8 pointers than I can count and I no longer have to be wet and cold when out hunting.  I hat wet and cold. I can do enjoy hunting in dry snow

Going to wait till afternoon take the dog for a walk . I was hoping the snow would stick around for the afternoon hunt tomorrow hunt with my son. PS I love my little buddy heater

 Walking out of the woods  I walked up on a big buck. I got within 20 yards and let one fly. He took off. This is the blood I have and the bolt is in half full of blood. I saw him gingerly walking an easement. I’m backing out for a while.

Nothing like tracking in the snow! Hope you find him!!

Hope the snow sticks around for tracking.  Blood in the pics looks dark like liver. Is the blood sticky and thick? Time is on your side. Give him a solid 4 hours.

Bloods tacky now because it’s drying. When I first touched the blood it was not tacky. Here’s a closer picture of the bolt.

There's no rush, give him time, it'll be an easy tracking job with the snow.  Good luck and keep us posted.

Me and the dog  went to black river saw one cockbird no shot. I can not believe all the deer stands all over the place
