Great debate about incidental take of coyote/foxes while deer hunting!

well… That's some new info there maybe you are right? And they weren't referring to coyote or a fox bait like some kind of meat?

No.... Changing the baiting laws requires legislation adding yote to incidental kills was not...

NJ Predator hunters club has on their agenda to push for incidental kills to be allowed during groundhog season too

Nomad as much as I respect you the law does not specify intent, it is strict liability. Just look up 23:4-24,2 through 23:4-24.4, those are all the baiting laws other than the one that applies to waterfowl.

                As per your question about shooting coyote/fox incidental to deer hunting. As long as you are deer hunting and not targeting fox or coyote, you can shoot a coyote or fox while elevated or in a structure within 300 feet of bait. The “bait” cannot be a dead deer though.
