To Weigh Or Not to Weigh?

If I have a goal in mind (either adding muscle or losing fat) I will weight myself once weekly, just to make sure that I'm moving in the right direction.  If I'm not really pursuing either goal, then I never step on a scale.  Afterall, it's just an arbitrary number.

I tend to fluctuate my training programs and goals throughout the year though, in the spring and summer, I'm more active overall and I'd like to appear as lean as possible. I bike more, jog a little, walk every day, hike, climb ropes, spend more time hitting pads or the heavy bag and just generally being outdoors.  I lift less and cut down on the amount of weight I'm moving.

In the fall and winter, I tend to add muscle. I cut out most of the other exercise, except yoga and the occasional boxing workout and stick to heavy lifting cycles.  I eat more and I add more weight (muscle and fat). I don't care if I add a few lbs of fat because I'm wearing shirts and sweaters anyway.

I need to weigh myself everyday. I lost over 60 pounds since September. Am holding my own at around 180 right now. My Medical Mary Jane application has been approved and am waiting for my ID Card then off to get the Munchies. I plan on being back to my normal  weight of 230 lbs by summer. They almost put me in the hospital when I hit 160ish. I developed a bad infection in my head last week. Been flat on my back and couldn't even answer the phone. They put me on super duper antibiotics and in 3 days it is starting to clear. It was so bad my wife could smell it when she walked into the house. Yea now that's an infection. Going to Doc today and hope I haven't lost too much. If anyone needs to get rid of some weight I'll take it.

That Pond Ice Scale will only work once if the water is over your head

Sent from my flip phone with the big buttons so I can see them

That's great news Stevo.  I'm sure it will help you like it has helped countless other people.  Please keep us posted on how it goes

When I step on the scale, the scale tells me "One at a time".

You watch Homeland I take it?

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation UNDER GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I have a scale that has WiFi, is connected to the Internet, logs my weight and body fat, and calculates my BMI.  I try to step on it when I wake up in the morning.  The data it captures is absolutely fascinating.

I'm a nerd, what did you really expect?

Sapere aude.

Audeamus.

When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.
