Large hole repair -taxidermy behind the scenes

This buck was shot on a preserve last season, multiple times, with a high powered rifle. The holes were huge, and there was nothing to sew back together. Skin was actually missing.

 

I decided to patch in with the extra skin I had from the deer, doing the best I can to match hair patterns and color with what I had to work with.

 

I personally would have used a new cape, but customer preferred the original.
