Creating and crafting

I have been creating dreamcatchers since the unfortunate loss of my daughter.  She used to make them then, I picked up where she left off and feel a connection to her spirit as I create them.  She was also an excellent huntress.  She started hunting when I was still prego with her, moose at 4 mos along, 6 point at 6 mos., and yes a 8 pointer at 8 mos., ( she came then) but I tried to hang in there for 10 mos. for a 10 pointer, but that didn’t happen.! Still looking for that 10 pointer 24 years later. Anyway I also create woodburnings and can duplicate almost any image you may have to reproduce on wood and burn it in. I began this during the onset of the pandemic. I create each piece individually per spec. I can create for you, depending on the image, and dreamcatchers with your feathers (if you have them ) to create your own hanging  memory and trophy of your hunt. ! I use your materials when necessary to create your one of a kind art piece. I also write poetry hopefully I uploaded 2 original poems I wrote.

Creating things with your own hand is very rewording, peaceful and yes it can be healing.

To be honest I dont “ sell” my work. I put trophies in the hands of the owner in an artistic manner. It would be disingenuous to the indigenous community, if anything materials get compensated that’s about it.  🪶

I understand. Once you start selling it’s just not the same. I give away things I make. People asking for it and taking it, is rewarding enough.
