Move treestand higher in tree. Still really do not like the set up but…

At 4pm has big doe with 2 fawns walk 5 yards from base of tree. She apparently did not like the huge lump in the tree 25’ up. So she left in a hurry.

Hauled in my cameras and seen my first robin of the year

Just had a good doe, a fawn, 6 ptr and an 8 ptr coming in on a string. I passed on a 40 yard shot on the 8. He got behind a tree and coming down a trail that would have put him right around 20 yards. But…. The neighbor comes out, pops the top of the hot tub and jumps in while playing Italian opera music. Needless to say they left in a hurry.

Oh they are at the age of wrinkly. I have met them several times through the owner of the property I hunt. I would not even pull up the binoculars.

I went ice fishing with friends.  Slow day.  We caught a catfish and a couple of pickerels on tip ups.  Jigging was unsuccessful.  Still nice to be on the ice.

Just got home we found her not far from where he left her then the 1/2  mile drag out . The hit was low but got gut liver and one lung

Had yearling  doe come in and she got a pass , not worth the drag or butchering effort . Still have a week .

Kind of early for a Robin up here. hopefully that mean's a warm winter.

Seen several Robins in Readington. I feel like I never stopped seeing them this year.

Took out a nice doe tonight. My phone died so this is the only picture I have.
