I would copy and paste Pennsylvania’s laws. Can anyone argue that the quality of bucks and the herd in general hasn’t drastically improved in the last ten years in PA? It’s nothing out of the ordinary to see 140” bucks being killed all over that state. It can be done here if the dnr actually gave a crap about the deer herd and didn’t practice wholesale slaughter as a management program

It’s not about dead, makes guys either buy both licenses or just take one buck which is what it should be.

each one posted is valid, I couldn't just pick one but I would support the following :

• Make public land deer driving illegal
•  
• reduce gun days
•  
• eliminate February deer hunting
• eliminate summer deer hunting
•  
• reduce buck tags to 2 flexible buck tags per entire season - use any season any weapon
• triple cost for non-resident deer hunters
• Must buck tag a button buck
• Mandatory APR's statewide
• Mandatory logging/forestry practices on all public land (deer habitat improvement).

Tie between removal of EAB season which I guess is summer and February days. Free license and permits for anyone over 70, I am not there yet.

How about a compromise, you can kill your second buck using a bow but only during designated gun season days. Bucks are vulnerable early season and during the rut ,that would reduce guys from killing multiple  young bucks during those periods  and do away with baiting
