Live Kansas deer hunt…

Last night was slow 2 sm bucks and a few doe…

one buck a spike had the prettiest red coat…odd for this time of year I thought.

then I pulled a camera card from last year and saw his dad…

I also got a pic of the one I was hoping to get a crack at this year… turns out to be the one I passed yesterday… by accident

Sat all day in a bedding area even with the warmer temps I had action all day.

I don’t think I went 1 hour without seeing a deer..no crazy rutting action just cruising bucks and does feeding around… two of the better bucks was a 120” 8 point and a 130s 4x4 with split g2s…I took a quick video of him buy there were so many deer coming from all different directions I didn’t want one of the real big ones to stand in front of me and I don’t have my bow in my hand…

 

Cant go in there tomorrow due to wind gonna try the other farm..

Out in Ohio been rather slow trying to catch up to a deer whose mostly nocturnal throughout the last 2 yrs... although it's unlikely to happen... be out in ks by the 9th. You and todd give them hell until then..  good luck fellas

Sat all day yesterday saw 2 jalopy bucks and some doe…

This morning I went back to the original farm and sat the southwest corner stand..

Great morning saw several bucks including 2 shooters a 140 and a 150.

I had the 150 at 28 yards 1/4ing to me on neighbors side of the fence… walked the trail like the 3 previous bucks …then smelled something he didn’t like (me) and turned back…

I put up a ground blind to hopefully be further down wind to protect from any swirling breeze.. let’s hope it passes the suspicion test

The stand I sat is 35 yards away.. 

let’s hope a good one travels this path tonight…
