Semi live for Woodland Caribou..

We walked out to several overlooks to get a different view and see if we were missing anything 

At the 3rd location we spotted a decent bull and while checking him out another much bigger bull popped out.

 

We watched them till they were just out of view and circled around on them...at 100 yards my guide held back and I tried slipping into bow range..I bumped into some ptarmigan . They flushed and flew right at the caribou making them take off...

You can make out the bulls  medium on the right and dandy back further on left

When the birds pushed them they actually split up with the big one circling to my left it several hundred yards away...

we quickly cut left and found the bull again . Watching him to see which trail he took we cut back wide to the right and got directly in front of him.

150 yards and closing..

150 yards quickly turned to 40 yard and the bull walked by quartering away.... it was over quick...

Turned out to be a great bull... possibly 300" just going by eye... super long beams and bez as well as real good back points... and a double shovel
