Archer36 you are correct. I hunted there many years ago and I begged my guide to let me spend the night by a big rock! He was in his 60's and could out walk me any day! I was probably 35 or so at the time and in what I thought was great shape. Those bogs will swallow you up! Mark I am shocked you got in front of them My experience was if you had to catch them forget it! Walking for them is like a run for us on pavement Not bogs!

I remember throwing my rifle into the brush and crawling to it! More power to you getting it done  with a bow. 

Some people connected with bow ( my original plan) but they ambushed them coming across the lake. They hid in the rocks and tried to get to the trail they thought they were coming on.
