I maybe able to go if my daughter comes home from college this evening,  what time is sunrise want to be settled in at least 30 mins before

I always check out "Wunderground.com" for the date in question - they tell you not just the weather but the sun-up and sun-down times, too. Go to the hourly weather tab and you'll see it. e.g. tomorrow in Somerville (randomly selected weather station, pick the station closest to you): https://www.wunderground.com/hourly/us/nj/somerville/KNJSOMER79/date/2022-04-30

That's what I hate about Spring Turkey hunting. Depending on how far you drive, you may have to get up at 3 30 AM to get in a morning hunt. I only do that on the last couple days. That's if I go at all. I sat out the last two seasons.

I’m love spring turkey But it doesn’t like me.   I don’t sleep well I toss and turn all night ,my allergies are killing me and we are only 5 days in. 
 

 

 

Monday I hunted From 555 to 1025 

tues I stayed home

wed I hunted 635 till 905

thur from 656 till 813. crazy wind ) 

I planned to hunt today from 530 to noon but didn’t get out of bed till 805.   I hunted from 935 till 1150

 

i didn’t hear a bird in zone 6 

 

I planned to hunt ny all next week.    Work and weather is already putting holes in that plan.    Now I’m looking at Sunday Tuesday Thur-Saturday.   Let’s see. Good luck to everyone

I use wunderground also.  It is my go to weather, sunrise and moon phase app.  This week hunting has wiped me out.  Early mornings and long days have been tough.

As long as the times are the same as posted by the F&G it's fine.  The app on my phone I believe shows where I'm at and doesn't always jive with timetables published in the compendium. 

I've had one tapped to the fridge for over 20 yrs, just change it out when it wears out or I get a new fridge.

The digest times are for Trenton. I always hear the COs will use the digest times regardless of where you are.  But that seems bogus to me - rule says "30 minutes prior to sunrise" and that may be different depending where you are. But honestly though, it's only at most a couple minutes difference. No one will notice.

I read an article in turkey call magazine in like 1981 written by Ben Rodgers lee.  I always remember this quote “  I’ll take one gobble at 11 am virse 10 different gobbles at sun up. “
