We fished the outgoing tide in the Hackensack River for 2 1/2 hours until the bite shut down. Caught 18+ Stripers including 5 keepers all 28" that we threw back holding out for bigger. I caught my biggest to date at 35" and @ASFTAXcaught a 32" that we kept. Took some pics, including a video of bringing in the bigger fish, attached below. They hit a big white swim bait but crushed the Alabama rigs that we trolled behind us. Tons of laughs and was lots of fun, as always is with my buddy Tony. Cannot wait to go again.... Its great getting away from the crowds and catching some nice fish! Great job!!! JHbowhunter and LPJR 1

I told my buddy and his son to dress like it's 40 and they wore shorts! luckily they had heavy sweatshirts and windbreakers. LPJR 1 Nothing spooks deer more than my stank… 16 3/4” Live Fluke Release Club I shot a big 10pt once….
JHbowhunter
a few more pics. Did NOT get the nice t-shirt weather Luigi got but we got on the fish. Definitely one of the best charters I ever booked. 4 guys were perfect but could have taken 2 more. BTW - Captain Derek asked us if we prefered meat over action because NY is still closed until Friday, and I said "Rod bender trip please" so we went to NY waters and released them all. Swedish Hunter
Nice trip Jack! Derek knows his stuff that's for sure. I have a trip coming next week on another charter, hoping the fishing will stay as it has been. JHbowhunter

At the age of five on my grandfather's old wooden Chris craft he told me they used to be stripers out here and Raritan Bay. Took decades for me to finally see some thanks for the good hard work of the ASA. https://www.thefisherman.com/article/unraveling-striper-migrations-movements-and-population-dynamics/ “In a civilized and cultivated country, wild animals only continue to exist at all when preserved by sportsmen.” -Theodore Roosevelt

I had the opportunity to fish with Chuck Manning, that man is the king of bass!!!
