Out in zone 7, bumped about 3 to 4 right under the stand.  Not sure what they were good luck to everyone out on this nice brisk morning.  Didnt see any deer on my 30 minute drive to the spot.

Day 2 in Ohio. Yesterday Deer were moving. Lots of chasing. Had a big mature 8 pushing does. Unfortunately. My buddy missed a 30 yd shot at him. All settled in for Day 2. Good luck to  everyone out!

Perfect morning in z5.

I’m out in zone 25. I’m a little  bummed after watching a pair of coyotes cross in front of me for the 2nd morning straight.  I’ve never seen them this close to houses before. I’ve been on this property for 5 years. There is a creek and a tree has fallen over it. They run right across it about 4-5 ft high.

On my second heated vest. This one way better than first. Old one kept shutting down after a minute. I got two seasons out of it. Ordered this Foxelli from Amazon  5pm from tree Friday and it arrived 11am Saturday. Man am I warm! When your core is warm it radiates out to your extremities.

Right gear makes everything more pleasant . 
but for me I’m not counting on battery gear nor having the weight of it . 
I want the lightest warmest stuff. 
as I have gotten older I don’t want to carry the extra weight . 
LL bean wind challenger vest is one of the lightest packable vests there is . 
if wasn’t wearing that it would be a Filson vest . 
both are super thin and don’t bulk up the outer layer . 
was 23 degrees here this morning in Ohio . 
have on a t shirt . 
Berber fleece wind shear sweat shirt . 
bean vest and Berber fleece  hood . 
Arctic ice boots with mid weight socks .  
as comfortable sitting here as if it was 70.

Had 3 doe 4 fawns by me then got chased off by dink fork horn. Later had huge doe and 2 fawns walk by heading into bedding. Later herd loud grunt and then an angry half rack 8 chased them right by me again. Good action but wrong bucks.
