My first compound was a bear Alaskan.

My first real compound was a Bear Black Bear around 1987.

I had that Bear Polar LTD back in the 1970's.  It was my first compound bow and I got my first bow deer with it. Before that I had a Browning Cobra recurve... I still have it. 

With the recurve I used the Bear Razor heads shown in the pic with the bleeder blades.  So did the Burt Renolds charecter in Deliverence.

With the compound I used the four bladed Savora broad heads

I'll  have to look at the stack again.  Think the pics were from the 1973 sports liquidators catalog shown.  Magazines from 1969 through the 70's.

You shot the expensive heads, 10 for 16.95.  I started with the bear whitetail and razorheads, then shot wasps.

Those bows were from 74

My First compound  bow was a Blacktail, then a Kodiak special( 2 wheel version of polar LTD) , then a Super T , was shooting a shooting star by 78.

shot all those heads including the Regular Savora before the swept wind pictured

 

first hunting bow was a Damon Howatt Hunter shooting bear heads and zwickeys

I have one that belonged to my dad.  He bought it but didn't shoot it too much because he was more of a trad guy

Most recurves Shot faster and better then that compound, lol!
