That is what hunting was like in the good ol' days.  Horseback, wilderness, outpost camps.  So good to see this is still happening.

Congrats on a nice bull. Love the horseback back hunts. Did one in BC a few years back, its amazing how those horses know the trails and where they are going. I can remeber nights the horses were on auto pilot back to our camp.

I have hunted with this outfitter quite a few times.  His horses are awesome.  We went up some ridgebacks that had a few thousand foot drop on either side in the dark.  The horses definitely know when they are going home.  They actually speed as we get closer to the trailer or camp because they want that saddle off of them and they get to eat.
