Horseback hunting is absolutely amazing. You get to cover so much more ground than you would be able to otherwise. Dont get me wrong, this was still, BY FAR, the most physically grueling hunt I've ever been on. But I couldn't imagine it without the horses. imageproxy.php?img=&key=690b23852e6d9142imageproxy.php?img=&key=690b23852e6d9142

Congrats on a nice bull. Love the horseback back hunts. Did one in BC a few years back, its amazing how those horses know the trails and where they are going. I can remeber nights the horses were on auto pilot back to our camp.

I have hunted with this outfitter quite a few times.  His horses are awesome.  We went up some ridgebacks that had a few thousand foot drop on either side in the dark.  The horses definitely know when they are going home.  They actually speed as we get closer to the trailer or camp because they want that saddle off of them and they get to eat.
