On plane taking off from Anchorage to Fairbanks.. quick flight...

outfitter texted me he's gonna fly up and check the river so should know in a few hours if I'm staying in Alaska or coming home to NJ.

In Anchorage airport and waiting on ride home... arrive in Newark at 7 am...

Wish I had a great story to tell with lots of pics .... negative I did have fun though for the day and a 1/2 I was here 

My friend Pete Buist ( Pete from Fairbanks on bowsite) picked me up at the airport and I spent the night at his home waiting to hear from the outfitter on river conditions...

 

Funny thing Pete actually signed my outfitters guide license application as a reference 4o+ years ago...

 

As I came down the escalator in Fairbanks I noticed a few limp drivers holding placards with clients names...

 

I then Spotted Pete just as he reached into his coat and pulled out this...

Then when I was picking up my luggage in Anchorage I heard a familiar voice behind me and turned to see my buddy Chuck from South Dakota collecting his luggage . He was just returning from a successful Brown Bear hunt with his bow... I'll post pics when he sends me some...
