Bluefin and a surprise Cobia!

Jumped on my buddies boat for an afternoon shot at these inshore bluefin. Sounded like a slow morning from radio chatter and a couple people we spoke to. 

 

Started fishing around 3pm and once the boats started to leave, the bites started.

 

Jigged a ton of squid and kept drifting over this little hump. 

 

Had two nice cobia swim under the boat and hand fed a live squid to one. 

 

Reset the drift and around 7pm, we got our right bite.

Came home with plenty of eats!!

Pretty sure you were next to me on the lump jigging squid .

we had one pull the hook around 630 .

uneventful otherwise except for a good bunch of squid
