Went To The Range On Sunday

Sunday morning I went over to the Clinton Range being I had time wanted to check the zero on my Savage 220f, she was dead on !!!!

 

My Remington 1187 20ga. with the rifled/cantilever barrel I knew needed just a minor adjustment, and once that was done she was on as well. Here is a picture of my group at 75 yds with the 1187, I'm pleased with this group with a semi-auto

More than enough accuracy for hunting. Much more precision than needed too.

 

Did you click the scope at all?  Did you number the shots in your head?  

 

Which shot was your cold barrel?  Did the shots progressively drop as the barrel warmed or vice versa?

Thank you for posting this about the 1187 with that barrel.

 

Is that the super mag that shoot 3.5?

 

I wasn't sure if I should get the 220f or the supermag rifled barrel which I would only shoot 3 in sabots.

 

What will the 1187 do at 100 yards?

 

I have never seen a tight group like that out of a semi auto.

It's the rifled/cantilever barrel topped off with a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40.....Remington Accutips 3" for all my 20 gauges and 2-3/4" for my 12 gauges

Clinton early morning is the best  -- I was out there last week on a wednesday at 8am -- there was 1 other guy there who took 2 shots and left

 

I took 20 with the muzzy -- My son will use it tomorrow for youth day

I have the same 11-87 cantilever rifled barrel, 21", and the thing is a tack driver at 100 yards.  I shoot the 3" Rem copper slugs.

FYI: I have many slug guns, and they all shoot great, but my Savage 220 by far out shoots them all, only my H&R comes close to the Savage

The groups with tape over them are pretty good at 75 yds or 100yds let alone the ones touching.that is gonna be hard to beat no matter what you shoot

Nothing wrong with that    I would think that would be good enough to drop some of them Illinois bucks !
