What are the odds of Ice Fishing NJ this winter?

I think you got the same odds as  a SNOW BALLS CHANCE IN HELL

Luckily there is ice in pa....no matter what! Open water here = 10 inches in Wayne cty pa

Nothing in Wayne co yet. Buddies hunting camp is just 10min past lake wallenpaupak - no ice anywhere, not even their lake.

Last year Feb. was great.

The long range forecast is calling for above average temps through January.

Darn it. Was looking for my ice King go to a new home.

I say very low odds we get sustainable safe ice. I do miss it though just seems like it never happens anymore.   However starting Monday - there is some ice making potential but still not optimal some mid 40 day temps still mixed in with some teens at night. Only good thing about a mild winter is lower heat bills.

Such the pessimist. My invite to ice fish that private pond remains and the landowner says he’s never once not had safe ice there in any year.  And next week temps begin to drop well below freezing at night and not much above in daytime. We will get out this winter!
