Crazy Shed Find

Last week I small game hunting with my son out in PA.  Families from our camp have been hunting the area since the 1950s.  This was the first time anyone found an elk shed.

Wow nice find. Found a bunch in New Mexico when I hunted there but no where like that.

That is a trophy right there. Do you see a lot of elk near your camp? I worked out in St Mary’s a few times and we drove around the Benezette area. Lots of elk around.

One like that you should grid search the area hard for the other one. Unless somebody else found it, it’s nearby for sure. My buddy in Montana spends days if necessary trying to match up a shed like that when he finds them. A matched set with that character is worth a bunch of moolah!

We were about an hour northwest of Lock Haven, PA.  There are a lot of elk around.  Sometimes we see them when hunting squirrel and turkey.  We were all over the mountain where the shed was found.  We must of walked past it dozens of times.
