I'm back on stand. It's still pretty windy but not as cold as this morning. Saw a bunch of deer in one of the fields on my drive here.

Almost got run over by a freight train on my way out on a rr bed tonight.  It was just light enough to see where I was going when I heard a deer running below me in a marsh. Could just make out a big body as it turned for me. It came full bore over the rr bed no more than 10yds behind me.  I then saw the big, heavy white rack. I had hunted where he was a couple times at night, but saw nothing. Made a boring day worth it just to see that.

Just a little spike this evening.  Sat all day and it was slow for sure in my spot.  No idea why, thought it would be prime.

Take grandma out with you. I’ve heard my whole life that she gets run over by reindeer this time (ish) of year

They are definitely chasing. Had one doe come in from the east she stopped about 45-50 yds out then took off to the north (away from stand) then saw what looked like a small 6 come behind her
