There is NO season for bobcat . The state does list them as endangered but not in my neck of the woods .

I called a BIG female bobcat in a few winters ago while I was hiking in Sussex County. I sat down to take a break and blew on a rodent distress call just for the hell of it. After 15 minutes or so she popped out of a bush about 150 yards away. Over the course of 20 minutes she slowly worked her way in to about 15 yards and then she winded me. Biggest bobcat I've ever seen. She looked about as big as my full grown yellow lab.

We just received a Facebook alert from our local police dept last week about bobcats being spotted here In Swedesboro (Gloucester County)

I think they are well aware of the population since they have radio collars on a lot of cats.   You'll never see a season for bobcat in NJ,  way too political.  SSS

Not according to the Director. They just need the public to let them know of sightings so they can delist them and open a season. So report all sightings. The Division has a rare animal sighting form linked to their site to fill out. They want any pix as well.
