Was in the blind tonight and passed up two skippers at 18 yards... They were confirmed to be button bucks when they walked past after at 7 yards...

 I saw some deer but couldn't get a shot. Had 4 in shooting range early this morning, but I couldn't tell what they were, of course 3 of them were bucks, I could see them  when the sun came up more, nothing big but I would've shot the bigger one since I want meat, but don't want to shoot any does because of the PA guys shooting everyone that they see. Then I saw them again and a Bigger one in between 11-11:20, but they were all too far for a shot. 5 does came through after I got a text from another hunter there telling me that he had them get pushed by 3 guys that came in late. Then I had a yote come in a torment the squirrels for about 10 minutes, that was fun to watch. Later I had a stare down with one of them when he/she sat on the tree about 3 feet away from me. A lot of winter tweety birds are starting to move in I noticed. Sat from sun up to sun down, not a bad day to be in the woods watching the forest creatures living their life.

3D pike county public land. 7mm-08 put him down on the move. Everyone is going home right at my favorite big woods 11am magic hour. My ground ambush spot I call "4 trees" has done well for me the last few years.
