Help Identifying "Nest"?

Something is building a "nest" in my buddy's back yard.  He says he sees Fox and Turkey around from time to time.  I don't hunt either so don't know much about it.  The branches that are in the front of the nest are from trees in his front yard...so something is grabbing those and bringing them to his back yard.  

 

Any thoughts?

I have seen skunks do that. I never seen it done in the open like that. usually against something or corner of something. I watch a skunk once, he had a hole under garage and he built something similar to that and the last thing he did was get a big sugar maple leaf and back in the left leaf covering hole. pretty cool to watch

He says there was.  They put a big stone over it a while back.  Is that consistent with skunk?

I think it's time to set up a trail camera to make a positive ID to what is making such a creative nest out in the open like that !!..........Can't wait to find out the answer !

It looks like someone was getting the lawn ready to mow for the first time this year.

Was there any eggs like the ones in my picture near the nest? Just wondering because I had something similar in my yard. And here it is 2 years later and they still ain't hatched.

I'm telling ya... someone raked those leaves and sticks into a pile from the front lawn, carried them into the back on the rake, and placed them by that tree.

Sorry I was training for naked and afraid. I'll move on if it's not cool. I'm just really glad I didn't kill and eat the baby mountain lion that you keep, that would have been pretty regrettable.
