Permit Costs

Recommended Posts

So I recently entered a raffle that has an opportunity at several handguns (thanx VDep) so I thought it would be a good idea to preemptively get permits in the hopes of winning and if not I’d utilize them regardless. Now I don’t remember if my prints are expired but at the end of the online application it was $71 Bucks for 2 permits !!!!! 🙄 This State is really losing it’s luster

is this the going rate nowadays??? IMG_8211.thumb.jpeg.6b3e6d923f6f7ca42d36ba62368db059.jpeg

Everything today is much more costly than years past. You cannot even get a burger, drink and fries at Mc Donalds today for under $10. It will only get worse.

In December of 2022 Gov. Murphy signed legislation raising the handgun permit fee from $2 per permit to $25 permit. It was done at the same time the Carry Permit fee was raised from $50 to $200. It was Bill S1141.

The politicians of our state do not want people to have guns. Making it expensive is how they do it without outright banning guns.

"We support the 2nd Amendment. We would never ban guns which is so unconstitutional. ... Oh, I'm sorry. You don't have $71 for the permit? Guess you can't buy that handgun you wanted. Oh, well."

And don’t forget about the transfer fees! Best price I know if is $50. Per first  transfer and $20 for the second. Also it’s one gun a month so you can’t even take the second gun home for a month. It’s $18. For the handgun permit application also and then $25 to get it.

We, legal gun owners ,  unfortunately are so in the minority to the general public that voting consequences will never take effect.  We’ve been out bred by design and will never be able to stem the tide …

We’re just holding on , white knuckled, to whatever we have …😞

What cost are you referring to for $18 ?

In the last few years the amount of new gun owners I’ve seen, from families that have traditionally been anti gun is exciting.

While I'm assuming  this is proposed  ( and probably a reality  ) like mentioned before  it will effect the lower class and I hope it's challenged in court.
