Not Bad for $30...

Finally finished up Bugs 1st deer, in total I'm out $30.

I'm by NO means a taxidermist but she's got a soft deer skin and clean skull.

Had to go cheap cause she'll probably cost me money next year lol

Damm roon you ogt me asking alot of questions today lol, howed you do the fur?  I ordered a fleshing knove and tanning solution for some hides I got this year just curious how you did yours.  These are gunna be the first ones I do myself.

Salt 1st to stop bacteria.

Then pressure wash to get rid of everything including the membrane off the back of the skin. Wash borax Dawn vinegar. Pull tight on a board and then I just used some basic Tan All bought from Amazon.

When dried I hit with wire wheel on angle grinder to soften skin.

Tanning is very expensive if done in a Tannery. My Eland cape cost $500 to wet tan.
