I tried them....only had luck when nothing else to eat (winter). Otherwise rotted in woods.

Northern buck is showing up and bedding close to doe group in residential area these days.

Days are getting shorter and looks like testosterone is starting to flow.

My area went from loaded with bucks last year with some excellent bucks, to this year with very few deer of both sexes and bucks that occasionally show up are very small.

Friend is hunting 5 miles from me, last year his area was some what slow this year he's loaded with bucks

We used to mix oats in with alfalfa.

The deer in zone 21 are not ready. I had 4 bucks in to the feeder at the same time. The does have disappeared from the feeder so maybe its getting close . I had bucks and does feeding together a few weeks ago then the does went MIA. I think just like most years end of October ( very end) to first week in November

Saw two bucks at lunch time on the move and two on the way home, most so far this year, good to see them on their feet, zones 8 and 12

Son called me saw nice 8  crossing a road and field 3 pm Z 8. Public land too. He was headed out at 4pm to the same general area.
