Last fluke trip 2022 ?????

Weather man blew todays forecast big time .

after looking at the current buoy weather , surf cams  .

decided there was no way I was sitting home and not fishing .

went to where I had them a few days  ago and it was like a desert there .

knew where to run offshore when they leave .

was drop and reel cookie cutter fluke from 17 3/4” to 18 1/4” .

bite was so ferocious , could almost set the hook the instant my bucktail hit bottom .

 

even my buddy Dead Stick Dick had over a limit LOL

 

lump was carpeted with fluke .

kept my limit , throwing lots of the same size fish back .

after 6 bags of gulp decided I  had , had enough and ran home to hunt this afternoon ..

 

figure with the storms that are rolling in , and water temps should really drop by the weekend , it’s time to put the fluke gear away .

I'm so cheap, the one thing that stood out immediately to me was when I read  "after 6 bags of gulp" !!  

(HA! I think I finally got the Dead Stick Dick reference.. I thought you had a buddy on the boat that rarely catches anything... but I get it now. Sometimes I'm slow  )

I'm surprised you haven't figured out how to make your own, what with your factory you have making those jig heads! You need to find out the recipe of the gulp super-juice and get a mold to make your own like the freshwater guys do with soft plastics.

Gulp isn’t your normal plastic make up .

it is made of a material that allows it’s scent to be absorbed into it .

other plastics don’t let that happen .
