I tried the MAP gas and the aluminum rods,it looked pretty easy, I had 3 holes from an old transducer.Every Time I got one hole filled it would fall out from heating the aluminum to do one of the other holes. Ended up using J-B waterweld Worked great!

Drill the rivets out with a 1/4" bit.  Get some 1/4-20x1 machine screws, nuts, wahsers and marine tex them in the holes. Cut off the excess at the nut. I have more than 200 in my duck boat. The marine tex will seal in, around and between the washers and to keep water out  act like lock-tite on the threads. They will never leak or come loose.

Let the lead fly!!!

There is no way any Brazing can be done,  for many Reasons.

The Areas have to be Brushed and all Oxidation Naturalized & Removed

The Cracks need to be drilled at each end to prevent spreading in this case 1/8 drill will do

Rivets Need to be backuped with dolly one side Peened over  from outside to tighten them.

Remove all Moisture Mix Epoxy Apply& build up in & outside,

Remider Nothing will work unless all the Oxidation is Removed.
