I had two guys bail on me today because it was raining when they got up so it was my brother and me.

we decided to make it more challenging and  got the dogs some work so we only shoot roosters. Of course we put up 6 hens before we got our first rooster.

Had the old 10.5 yr old setter out at Assunpink for an hour…rain stopped for our walk….she got a violation for flushing same rooster twice…not sure what happened…maybe bird was skittish n she’s old. 

very few shots heard and a few balls of fresh feathers from predators last night 

cover was excellent and if they were rockport rockets I wud expect to find a few in February like I used to…but not with these new stockies

We went out to Assunpink late morning today.  Only heard a couple shots in 3 hours of walking.  Saw some feathers but no birds.

Congratulations,  nice day. I hunted Clinton and didn't see a bird, not even a point. I dont think Clinton was stocked last night. 4 shots heard in 5 hours.
