Shed buck

Saw my first shed buck today... surprised it’s early December! Could see the blood so it’s fresh. Hopefully this isn’t a trend this early

Seems way to early But it is 2020.

It seems every year there is a few that shed around this week.  Most likely stemming from a hard rut, poor nutrition, and stress. Most bucks will hold antlers til at least January though.

It’s crazy... I literally can see it bleeding and this isn’t a high pressure area. My guess is your right on hard rut... there are some big deer in the area and they protect their does.

I think that buck needs a covid test- might have the virus. LOL. It is early but do recall someone shooting a shed during permit shotgun a few years back.

He knows there is a crazy Greek guy in the neighborhood running around with an xbow...smart buck for shedding early

Its the virus, I bet he did not have the mask on and kept 6' distance during the rut@!

Hear and see it every year at shotgun week. Aways seams to be one or two hanging on the club poles.

If you know where that deer was bedded I would bet both sheds are laying right there

have seen bucks shedding this week before shotgun season starts the last 4 or 5 years .

‘IMO the rut has also been earlier by a few weeks .

not always the smaller younger bucks dropping either , 2 years in a row was the best deer on the farm .

A few years back I picked 3 sheds while doing deer drives during 6-day so it is possible.
