New to Deer Bow Hunting NEED MENTOR!!

Hello all,

I hope everyone is well! I am new to this site- as well as hunting. I am located in Sussex county, and I am looking for someone or a group to mentor me in deer bow hunting in New Jersey public lands. I would greatly appreciate any input that could help!

Yes, I took the hunter safety course. I have my hunting license- just in bow. Yes, I have a Parker set up.

Welcome - what type of bow interests you? We generally break them down into "traditional = recurve or longbow,  compound - most common, and crossbow (becoming more and more popular, and some refer to them as the original "Traditional" bow based on ancient history).

Thank you, I am currently using a crossbow. I didn't know that they're referred to as "traditional". That is interesting! I heard some hunters refer to them as a " gun bow".

that would be me calling them traditional bows because they are. Hang around a bit and you will know why. I LOVE CROSSBOW hunting and we should put RAGE Broadheads on your bolts. A lot of guys are against crossbow hunting maybe you can help change their minds. A lot of knowledgeable guys on here. Post away your good here great site. Oh by the way do you like cats?

Welcome and best of luck. Lots of great places to hunt up in Sussex county and it is great to see another huter join our ranks especially a female My wife got me into hunting and more and more ladies are getting in the filed , which is awesome!
