I didn't see one single fox last week so I was back at it this PM. The FoxPro was on by 3Pm and despite cool temps it was a nice afternoon. I saw some deer at 4Pm, of course posing for me since I had my 22-250 in hand, but nothing else until about 20 minutes before sunset. This fox came in from behind me, crossing a large field into the woods I was in. She was definitely locked on to the sound of the groundhog in distress. She stopped mid field and turned right as if to walk away. Few steps latter I had her in my scope at 95 yards and the Vmax SST dropped her in place, she didn't even twitch.  Beautiful shiny pelt, it just may be my next year's hat:-)

No, I turn it on and off and usually try different calls. I use Turkey, Groundhog, Rabbit and The MOLE/ They can't resist the mole. I have this call programmed to one button activation and I switch to it as soon as I see one. It is not a very loud call so its not effective with bringing them in but once close there is nothing better.
