Ticks ... In February???

Hit the pheasant fields one last time this afternoon.  Just one last opportunity to take little Henry out for a run, and a last chance to carry my beloved 78 year old Model 31 afield.

As expected, no birds, but what I did find were a couple of deer ticks on my pants!  So, just a heads up to be aware - they're still out there.

Pulled a couple of a week or 2 ago. It was freezing out.

It's because of all you assholes with your gas guzzling trucks and Diesel consuming vehicles you're killing the climate and making it warm and now we have ticks let everybody get on board by EVS so we can save the planet and get it back to what it used to be. That's sarcasm just so clarify. It's nature it don't take much more than a few degrees above freezing to get them right back up and out

Ugh!  My bro in law drank that Kool aid and bought himself an EV.  Pretty amazing technology, but I see them as a solution to a non-existing problem.

Spring is here! Jumped a few woodcock  in our swamp area behind our home. Timberdooles only hit our back area when migrating.

a few days ago while squirrel hunting 😳 when i was changing at home later i found a larger tick on my sock. I crushed both and showered jic i got chiggers too.

Last week I walked in woods behind a catering hall I work at in my neighborhood because I saw a nice buck rub. Went to shop rite after with my wife. I felt some burning by my belt line on my waist. Sure enough I had a tick imbedded in my skin. Was able to pull it out alive. The bite is still pretty irritated.

I have seen them with snow on the ground. They do not die.

Ticks suck ! Take's all the enjoyment out of enjoying the woods. Lymes' disease and all those other tick borne disease's are no joke.

I learned my lesson walking in the woods with jeans. If I go in the woods with clothes treated with sawyers permitherin I have no problems!

Feb 19/20 a normal timeframe for "spring arrivals."

General information 

Even with all the deer in my yard I sprayed all my area for them with Talstar and nothing lives after that  No Stick bugs or Lantern Bugs are dead on contact
