Tomato Picking

Down in New Egypt at a farm with my family picking plum tomatoes to make the sauce, which will be done tomorrow.  Getting it done quickly since it's 11 of us total, when done we should have 12 or 13 bushels

Kids probably bought it because there just about giving it away

We use to go pick them all the time as a kid this weekend. Now my father just buys bushels already picked. 
How much a bushel do they charge?

For the amount we have I think $1.09 per pound

I'm gonna hi-jack this thread real quick. The scene: I was like 11 years old, first family trip to Disney World. In line in the buffet (I can still picture it - bottom floor of the Contemporary when they used to have a buffet). I get spaghetti. Server asked what I want on top. "Gravy, please".... You can guess what they put on top. Brown gravy. I sit down and my dad is like, "What did you do?" LOL ... "I asked for gravy and this is what they gave me!!!"

It ended up being a total of 20 bushels I didn't see the remainder of the milk crates, 4 bushels goto my wife and I ....Back down to Jackson in the morning to make the sauce
