There's an old guy who is always the first one there lol. I tried for weeks to beat him there one year. Got there at 430 one time....there he was sipping his coffee!! 😆 🤣 dedicated.

I try to be there by 5. 

I forget his name but there was a guy that got there minutes before me. He fished by the dam and turned me on to a newer Powerbait that's been working. He supposedly passed. Woman i've seen fishing there a few times told me back in October. 

Yesterday there was 1 guy by the boat launch and 1 by the 1st house there at the lake on Porchtown rd.

Care to pass the name of that magic bait on to me? ... because I'm getting skunked with the trout magnet (magnet my ARSE!  )... I was out at Oak Pond this morning at dawn with the sneakboat, fished for 2 hours. Had a couple nibbles, and one fish I lost (never saw what it was). That was it. And they supposedly stocked it yesterday.

I will say, there was one other guy in a kayak and 3 groups bank fishing and I didn't see a single fish caught in those 2 hours. I did see what I think is a resident bald eagle fly up into a tree, which might explain some things about the missing fish

We watched what i think was a hawk or osprey swoop down and snatch a fish but dropped it near the the resturant/houses

@mazzgolfi use a bullet weight 1/8-1/4oz slid onto my main line tied to a barrel swivel..about a 2' piece of mono in 6-8lb test tied to a snelled size 8-10 baitholder hook. These baits float very well off the bottom.

Cast it out leaving some slack. When they take it you'll see the slack run out.

If you're using braid instead of mono for your main take a piece of mono like 12-14" long tie a barrel swivel on each end but slip the weight on before you tie the 2nd on. Then about a 10" piece of mono between the swivel and the snelled hook. Or use a fishfinder rated for braid and small bank weight or bass caster.

The idea is to have about 2' of line between the main and the hook on a slide.
