Well, deer season here in NJ has come to and end for the 2022-2023 season! Below are the final results, donation/prize breakdowns, and winners for the NJ Woods & Water 2022-2023 Adult Deer Contest!
Congratulations to all the successful hunters this season, as well as all of the contest winners!

• Donations Distribution:  Approximately 60% Team and 40% Individual donation/contribution breakdown to go towards prize distribution
• Individual Contest: $280

• Team Contest $510 (~60% donations rounded up by NJW&W)
  • $170 each (3 team members)
• Individual Contest $615 ($335 [~40% donations rounded up by NJW&W] + $280 [Individual contest entries]) with a ~40%, ~25%, ~17%, ~10%, ~7% breakdown for Top 5 prizes
  • 1st Place: $250
  • 2nd Place: $150
  • 3rd Place: $100
  • 4th Place: $70
  • 5th Place: $45

Contest rules being what they are - highest gross score SCI or P&Y score doesn’t always win. I been on the wrong end of that before. Spread and long g2’s seem to be rewarded the most.

Would be cool just to know what the top  deer scored just for fun. 

I will put mine out there first.My buck scored approximately 137 gross green  

here is the official 60 day dry score from the state

131 7/8 gross buck has short G3’s. I have lost the contest with 140” class deer to 130” deer.  It is what it is.  If everyone knew how to score just do SCI score but even these few measurements are challenging
