Its trapping season still. Shed season is next but I'm not sure how much walking I will do this year. I will a little bit.

A lot more people walk not not just hunters.  It's the new trend!  Each year it gets a lot tougher.  I used to find 50 a year now I'm lucky to find 10.  Need to put more time in to find the numbers.

Very interesting article, seems crazy they could only find that many sheds inside a fence.  When it comes to here in Jersey we only have 10% of the buck herd   we once had not many years ago making it past the season. After the legalization of baiting, crossbows, 150ft rule, every county park, town park and homeowners giving access to anyone who is willing to kill the herd it all took its toll. Add to that the shed hunting craze with everyone and their sisters walking equals not many sheds. At what point do we stop killing so many deer? I used to walk areas that would have 5-10 bucks make it thru and now they are just void of deer. It’s a shame what we did to our deer herd. We definitely need changes on the regulations.
