Zion And Bryce Canyon National Parks

Saw the Yellowstone post and realized I neglected to post this sooner. My wife and I went to Nevada and Utah last month. We spent a few days in Vegas and then hiked 95 miles in 10 days in Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Valley of Fire State Park (NV) and Red Rock National Conservation Area (NV).  Highlights in Zion were hiking up to Angel’s Landing  and The Narrows (hiking trail in the Virgin River).  Bryce highlights included descending into the canyon to see the hoodoos with altitude changes from between 9,000 and 8,000 ft.  Sadly my iPhone pictures don’t do justice to these places.  One of our best trips yet.

I did that trip a few years ago, beautiful, we also went up at night star gazing...unbelievable! Clear sky and almost zero light pollution.

Great pictures thanks for sharing. I agree, even the best pictures don’t really do that area justice. You have to see it for yourself.

Yeah that’s definitely on the bucket list. Went there with my parents, 1970?, but being a stupid kid it was kinda lost on me. In my own defense I will say that being from the east and going on the western vacation was such a sensory overload…..
