NJ Deer hunting-What is your favorite/go to gun?

I've only used one since I got it.  TC triumph bone collector topped with Leupold 3x9 ultimate slam muzzy/shotgun scope, 250gr heat seeking Hornady SST bullet propelled by 2 pyrodex rocket engines.

One gun. In NJ 

Mossberg 500. Wood furniture. Field barrel, slug barrel. 

Ain't pretty but puts meat on the table.

Savage 220.

Thats is an easy one, Remington 700 in 3006 for NY State Hunts and Savage 220 for NJ shotgun.

For NJ a Benelli Nova with 00 buck and a Buck Kicker choke. For NY Encore Pro Hunter with Nikon ProStaff 3-9.

For overall knockdown power though, I'm going with my buddy's '92 Ford Ranger from back in the day. Seemed like everytime he'd get it back from body shop another deer would get smacked. I think it had like 5 or 6 deer before they finally totalled it 😂

I customized this 12 ga. 1187 years ago. Was a basic bird gun. Bought the matching stock and rifled barrel. Put in a Patriot trigger. It may not be a Savage Slug gun but for me it's all I need.

12 gauge Remington 870 with cantilever slug barrel and Burris scope, gun loves Remington Buckhammers and Brenneke KO Slugs… deer don’t go far or anywhere.

I don't gun hunt all that much anymore, but when I do I have an older Wingmaster 870 with hastings barrel and Leupold 2-7. It hates all the newer slugs but shoots lightfields and brennekes great.

1100 20ga Youth model. I only bowhunt in NJ, but I set it up for family.

When my boys were very young, I invested in a Rem 1100 LT-20 for clay targets. Later, I bought a Hastings rifled barrel for it, and a slip-on recoil pad to lengthen out the youth stock. It only has a 2-3/4 chamber though.
