Rare 2A Victory in Nj Supreme Court

Recommended Posts

Congratulations to my friend Cal Carlsrom won a major court victory in our state Supreme Court. Cal and I go back to our college football days in the last millennium. Yes we did wear helmets. He was a Marine Corps veteran and MP in the military before his retirement. His persistence on his behalf as well as citizens of Nj  is to be commended.

So he gets a hearing on the denial. I wonder if it will be in front of the same judge, if so, not sure what good that will do him? The only way I could see this having an impact in the near future is if every handgun owner in NJ applied for a permit next month and we totally swamped the courts!

I'll take any bit of good news.  But,in a state like NJ where even an air rifle is considered a firearm requiring a FID, I just don't see how anything significant changes unless we change the people in Trenton and the governor and then the courts.  The only way that happens is if the state gets more conservative not more liberal.  It really is that simple, hard to see that happening here.

Good for him and please thank him for us.

Too many gun owners do nothing, yet complain about everything.

You're right.  So if we do our part and only vote for people who support our 2A rights and are conservative, but other people on this site and elsewhere who own firearms and hunt vote for socialists like Murphy because he makes them promises he can't keep, how is that doing nothing?

How do you paddle upstream in raging river?  That is what it is like, we are  fighting people who should be in our corner and paddling with us but they aren't.  Tough to conquer that.
