This would be great weather for early season. 

Think I found the spot for tonight. At least I can see for a hundred yards in all directions and plan tomorrow accordingly. Crap,just had a doe run off a hundred yards away.  Must have been laying in the high grass watching me.

Jumped into the tree around 3:30.  Was more than happy to see the blue sky turn grey here in z50, cooled things down a bit.  Wind seems pretty fair right now, nothing steady but some occasional gusts blowing west to east.  Last night was as dead as a door nail, we’ll see if the impending storm front has them up and moving tonight.  Good luck 🍀 all!

In the blind in zone 25,saw property owner on way in and he said he had surveyed today, can see new stakes and ribbons, lot of traffic in woods today. See what happens

Out in z5 - 2 miles from home. Other end of my buddy’s farm food plot from where I sat the other night. Haven’t sat this stand in 2 years.

One antler spike just came 20yds directly downwind. I heard him walking through the water behind me. Came around my right side. Waiting for one to come out of the thick stuff to my left.

1 lone fawn entered the plot 20 minutes before dark   About 7 acres of field/plots, surrounded by another 45 acres of hardwood ridge.   That was the only deer on the entire property it seemed.   As I started my first week of vacation with permit bow opener - the action has slowed progressively each day leading up to today - the worst.  I can't recall a worse 11/1 hunt - ever. It's not the temps, it was 32 yesterday morning and barely a deer in a great spot.  I have been moving around,  only hunting the right winds, covered more properties and stands than I normally do.  There is literally nothing going on - or I just really suck!
